roads and around the
resort.

Awards: Trophies are guaranteed to the
first 550
registered runners. Medals for the fastest male and female at each age. Awards for the fastest
male & female
overall. Don’t
forget the “Grand
Overall, Overall World Champion” award.
Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will begin at 12:30
pm. at the Forum.
Door Prizes: Door prizes and other party favors
will be given out
after the run.
Post Race Party, Party,
Party:
This is the biggest and
wildest post race party of the year! Schnapps stop at the Finish Line. Free beer, soda, snacks,
DJ & dancing.
Don’t forget the infamous “Sausage Dance”
for the ladies and the “Big Hunk”
dance for the gentleman. Those who do not wish to run, or are a guest
of
runners, may join the party for $5 (Soda) or $10 (Beer).
Party Attire: Beach clothing is accepted attire. Speedos and bikinis are
permitted if you
look good in them.
Accommodations: Don’t drink &
drive. A block of
rooms has been reserved at a price of $114 per
night. This price
is subject to local
taxes and other resort fees. Call
1-800-558-3417 for reservations and mention the Lakes Area Running Club
to
receive the special price. The rooms will be held until December 5. After that you may still
receive the
discount if rooms are available.
Directions: The Grand Geneva Resort, www.grandgeneva.com
is just east of the
intersection of Highways 50 & 12, which is just east of Lake
Geneva,
WI. After taking
the long driveway, the
Forum is the first building on the right.
Other Stuff: The race will not be delayed or
canceled due to the weather.
The course will be open and times will be recorded for 60 minutes.

I know that running
a race is a potentially hazardous activity.
I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and
properly
trained. I agree to
abide by any
decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete
the
run. I assume all
risks associated with
running in this event, including, but not limited to:
fall, contact with other participants, the effects of the
weather, including ice and cold, traffic and the conditions of the
road, all
such risks being know and appreciated by me.
I also am aware of my duty to drink responsibly. I will not get behind the
wheel of a vehicle
if I am impaired from the free alcohol served after the race. Having read this waiver
and knowing these
facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself
and anyone
entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Lakes Area Running
Club
(officers and members), the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa and
parent entities,
all municipalities and all sponsors, their representatives and
successors from
all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation
in the
event though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness
on the
part of the persons named in this waiver.
